BMP DDB - A crafty place
The entire experience at BMP DDB was like no other. Working with some of the best in the business in London. I was initially recruited as a freelancer securing Optimum Media Direction (part of the network) as my own client however soon became a part of the fabric of the creative department. I was responsible for developing BMP DDB's very first website with Tribal DDB which was rated 8th in Campaign Gold that year and set up their first internal design division (Ether Design) with Mark Reddy (Head of Art) all the time working around the incredible talent of Pete Mould (look him up). This is a reflection of the type of wonderful work coming out at the time. A fantastic learning environment for type craft.
Fetzer Wines - Pete Mould
FP ads representing one of American original grassroots wineries highlighting the growers and their unique outlook on organic growing. Original woodcut type.
OXFAM
Wonderfully simple design and concept. Essentially they are all one off pieces of timeless art. Slick execution on photography help give the illusion that this old items help to show off their innate unique design and perceived value.
Svit - Pete Mould
A crazy little dry cleaning home kit developed by Henkel called "Svit". These ended up as cross tracks in the tube in London. A number of simple techniques were used to develop the look and feel of the ads including scanning the backs of old sketch pads and overlaying text to look like misregistration in the printing process. All on a budget of nothing.
